Exterior Insulation and Finish System (EIFS) is also referred to as synthetic stucco. The primary difference between this and traditional stucco is that EIFS includes a layer of insulation. This product is often applied to the exterior of commercial buildings because it provides an insulated surface and fire-resistant, waterproof barrier that looks and feels high-end. This can also be used on residential exteriors.
